SKetches Film Project 20/21

In 2020, Katie recieved funding from Creative Scotland through Sustaining Creative Futures for SKETCHES Film Project. For this, Katie partnered with the Beacon Arts Centre and Platform and received further support through The Work Room. Katie worked with groups from each organisation to learn about places which were considered important, meaningful and iconic to each community. These places then formed the backdrop to a series of films, captured in Inverclyde and Easterhouse throughout 2020. For this project, Katie worked with dance artists Millie Thomas, Lucy Ireland, Olivia Roach and Katie Miller as well as film maker Stuart Alexander (Shootback Productions). The films will be released in 2021/22 in line with venues reopening.
