SKETCHES (FILMS)
SKETCHES film project was a co-commission from Tramway and The Work Room for Moving Out 2019. The project aimed to connect with a local and diverse audience from communities surrounding the Tramway building. For this project, Katie identified iconic and recognisable areas to the Pollockshields and Govanhill Communities. The SKETCHES vignettes were filmed in Govanhill Baths, Pollok House Gardens and Pollokshields rail station, and exhibited at Tramway in the upper gallery space, and at Polloksheilds and Govanhill Libraries as part of Dance International Glasgow 2019. Katie has recently been supported through Creative Scotland and The Work Room to continue to explore and develop this project working with partners The Beacon Arts Centre and Platform and connecting and engaging with their audiences and communites.
